Chelsea are considering a move for West Ham United striker Marko Arnautovic, according to ESPN FC.
The Premier League champions are in the market for a new forward and it looked like they had Andy Carroll as their prime target but his injury means that they’ve had to turn their attention elsewhere.
They’ve been linked to the likes of Peter Crouch, Islam Slimani, Edin Dzeko and Ashley Barnes in recent weeks and now, the latest name being touted around is Arnautovic.
The Austrian international joined the Hammers in the summer for around £25 million and after a slow start, he’s hit a purple patch of form in which he’s scored six goals and had three assists in his last eight Premier League games.
It’s highly unlikely that West Ham would sell the 28-year-old as he’s their main goalscoring threat at present, so it’d take a huge offer to even get them to think about a sale.
