Anthony Martial was absent from the squad for Manchester United’s 2-2 draw with Burnley on Boxing Day after sustaining a knee injury against Leicester City.
The Frenchman started on the left hand side at the Kingpower Stadium and missed a superb chance to put Man United ahead in the second half.
He was substituted soon after and wasn’t included in the side that stumbled to a draw with Sean Dyche’s men.
And it has been confirmed by French journalist Johnny Severin that Martial was sidelined with a slight knee problem against Burnley but won’t face a prolonged period away from the action.
Pour info, et rassurer certains, @AnthonyMartial n’est pas dans le groupe mancunien car il souffre du genou après avoir reçu un coup à Leicester samedi. Il assistera au match en tribunes ! #mufc #MUNBUR @SFR_Sport

Marcus Rashford huffed and puffed but always looked like a stranger to the encounter, somehow alone on the pitch, inhibited by a clear sense of doubt over his decision making process on the ball – a common feature of any bad patch for an attacker.
And the Frenchman’s introduction midway through the second half to compliment the nimble attacking threat of Jesse Lingard, who changed the feel of the game, could have given the hosts a platform to grab an equaliser earlier than the 91st minute.
Supporters will desperately hope that Martial, with games continuing to come thick and fast, doesn’t spend too much time away as Rashford’s form continues to dwindle.
