Manchester United fans were unimpressed by youngster Marcus Rashford‘s performance vs Leicester City in the Premier League.
The Red Devils started the game off horribly, conceding first vs the former champions but turned the game around through a Juan Mata brace.
United fans thought it was all but over, especially when Leicester dropped to ten men after getting Daniel Amartey sent off.
However, for the second game running, Jose Mourinho’s players conceded a last gasp goal through Harry Maguire in the 94th minute.
Ultimately it was the players’ shambolic finishing or lack thereof that costed the team two points and Rashford was one of those to blame.
Hey guys remember that time when United had a 3-on-1 and Rashford was like “you know what lads, there’s more to life than football” and just stopped running

Cannot believe Rashford didn’t pass this either. Wrap it and kill it 3-1. Instead he messes on the ball and gets dispossessed. Shocking. http://pic.twitter.com/hK1zLU9WVa

What on earth has happened to Marcus Rashford? Some atrocious performances recently. #FullTimeLiam

Not even 1 single player had small sense to take the ball to the corner flag and run the clock.
Rashford has a WHOLE LOT to learn. A whole lot!

Can someone please get me in contact with Martial, Lingard and Rashford.
I just want to talk. http://pic.twitter.com/eI8OrVxCMx

Paul Pogba’s pulling off passes like that & Marcus Rashford pretends he’s Danny Welbeck. Come on mate. http://pic.twitter.com/dUUxHDRQbL

The Manchester United academy product has struggled in recent matches and despite fans being shocked by it, it shouldn’t really be surprising to see.
Youngsters often go through peaks and troughs as it’s all part of the learning curve they experience when maturing.
Of course it’s disappointing to see the Red Devils relying on him so heavily and his timing for his poor displays couldn’t be worse but it’s also pretty normal.
Younger players also have a tendency to burnout quicker than more experienced players and it’s this factor that could explain both Rashford’s and Anthony Martial‘s recent performances.
Both players started off the season brightly and have only dropped off in form recently so Jose Mourinho may consider resting the pair to rejuvenate them.
Although he heavily rotated the two earlier in the season, he hasn’t necessarily done so of late and that could be affecting them both.
