German starlet tells Man United when he will make transfer decision

Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka has declared when he’ll be ready to make a decision for his future as clubs all across Europe swarm over the talented youngster.

Goretzka has been the subject of interest from multiple clubs with Juventus, Manchester United and Barcelona all interested in him.

The German player’s contract runs out next summer and he’ll be free to sign for a new club when the winter transfer window opens.

Interest has been so high in the player that Schalke were prepared to make him the club’s best paid player, offering wages in the 100k+ region.

The footballer himself hasn’t completely ruled out remaining at the club but most observers of German football predict him to move abroad.

According to Calcio Mercato, Leon said: “[My next club] is not a matter of money, I only need to decide what’s the best solution for me. I will take a decision by the end of January”

Leon Goretzka is clearly looking for first team football and it’ll be interesting to see which big club can truly offer him a chance in their starting XI.

Reports earlier surfaced of Jose Mourinho’s interest in the player as the Portuguese manager sees him as the ideal man to replace Marouane Fellaini.

Fellaini himself is out of contract in the summer and Mourinho is more interested in replacing like for like rather than shelling out big for a midfielder who isn’t available.

If reports are to be believed then Jose is preparing for another huge summer and wishes to spend money on other positions and targets rather than a midfielder should Marouane not be tied down to the club.

With Michael Carrick also likely to retire at the end of the season, the United manager is afraid of losing two key midfielders in a single summer.
