Chelsea are readying a €50million (£44.4million) offer for Napoli centre-half Kalidou Koulibaly, according to Italian media.
The Senegalese defender is one of the most coveted centre-halves in world football, and has long been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, as well as a plethora of other clubs.
Since the arrival of Antonio Conte in the summer of 2016, Koulibaly has been a constant target, and while claims of big money offers being sent by the Blues’ have been frequent, so has Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis been in shooting the offers down.
Now, Italian source Il Mattino, as cited in Sport Witness, are reporting that Chelsea are preparing a summer offer of €50million to finally get their man.
Il Mattino also claim that Napoli are ready to once again deny the Blues’ in their quest to sign the former Metz and Genk defender.
Koulibaly’s current deal runs until 2021, which gives Napoli all of the negotiating power they need to ward off Conte’s interest over the coming months.
