Chelsea check on Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey

Chelsea watched their transfer target Leon Bailey in Bayer Leverkusen’s victory over Stuttgart last night.

The Jamaican claimed two assists in the 2-0 win as he played a key role in the victory.

Chelsea may need to move quick as both Barcelona and Liverpool are interested in the player.

Chelsea have hailed meetings about the prospect of signing the player ahead of a potential switch in January.

They have had a long-term interest in the player ever since he moved to Leverkusen and even before that when he moved to Belgium as a 15-year-old.

He joined the club for £12.75 million last summer and has impressed ever since scoring 4 goals and getting 4 assists.

Antonio Conte is keen to bolster hia attacking options and sees Bailey as a top-target..

Even though he is just 20-years-old the Blues see the player playing a key role in their long-term plans. Chelsea are keen to test the German’s club resolve after another fine performance from the youngster.
