Redknapp: This Madrid star can change everything for Premier League teams

English manager Harry Redknapp has claimed his former player, Gareth Bale, can change everything for any Premier League top six team willing to buy him.

Bale has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in recent seasons with the rumours growing even stronger during the last summer transfer window.

Jose Mourinho even commented on the possible move, playing mind games with Real Madrid’s Zinedine Zidane when the two clubs clashed with each during the UEFA Super Cup.

The French manager then decided to quell any rumours by claiming that the Welshman is an important player to his Spanish side and insisted that Gareth isn’t for sale.

Redknapp though believes that any Premier League side would be lucky to have the talented winger as he could single handedly make the difference for challenging teams.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Harry said: “He can make the difference. He can win the title for you. Whoever took him out the top six teams, he could change everything for them.

“Keeping him fit is the problem at the moment. He suddenly seems to pick up injuries galore.

“But if they can keep him fit and playing, he can be the difference between finishing third, fourth or fifth and winning it. He is that good.”

It appears however, that Madrid’s unsellable stance has changed of late with the board apparently becoming frustrated with Bale’s injury problems.

The former Tottenham star has a growing reputation of recurring fitness concerns and it seems that the Spanish capital club have run out of patience.

Originally brought in as Cristiano Ronaldo’s heir, Gareth soon became a key figure for his new club with important goals and assists.

However, almost as quickly as he rose through the ranks, Bale is suddenly finding himself to be an isolated figure and a player Zidane is increasingly unable to rely on.

With the Los Blancos in terrible form and struggling to climb up the league table, it may be time for a shuffle of the deck so to speak and it just might be that the Welshman is one of the disposable players.
