Victor Lindelof produced a composed display at the back during Manchester United’s 1-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.
The Swede, who made his first Premier League start against Newcastle United last weekend, was handed another chance to impress from the start with Eric Bailly and Phil Jones still injured.
And he put on his best showing in a Man United shirt so far, keeping the visitors at bay with some precise tackles whilst positioning himself well in the box.
Lindelof’s numbers from the game shed light on what was an accomplished performance against Chris Hughton’s men.

Following an opening period where it looked almost impossible for Lindelof to breach Mourinho’s starting XI, the 23-year-old has finally started to ease into life at Old Trafford.
His reaction to that capitulation at Huddersfield Town last month has been immense: superb for Sweden in both playoff legs against Italy, growingly confident against Newcastle, and now United’s enforcer at the back against a deceptively strong Brighton side.
Lindelof’s mettle was questioned during the early stages of the season, but this display – and specifically a crunching challenge on Anthony Knockaert – made it clear to the watching world that he has thicker skin than many imagined.
