Real Madrid aiming to take advantage of United teen sensation's contract situation - report

Ever since his heroics against Aston Villa in the EFL Cup and last-gasp winner against Fulham in the Premier League, Alejandro Garnacho’s stocks have soared meteorically.

After a few initial hiccups under Erik ten Hag where he was accused of having poor mentality, the Argentine has recovered and how!

All his United teammates have praised his effectiveness and despite his young age, he is now a valuable member of the first-team and has played in both games post the World Cup.

United’s wing options like Jadon Sancho and Anthony Elanga have both struggled to nail down a starting berth, and Garnacho has grabbed his opportunity with both hands and moved above the pair in the pecking order.

However, till the time the deal is officially signed and sealed, foreign clubs will continue to sniff and try and their hand at acquiring the former Atletico Madrid starlet.

According to Defensa Central (via Caughtoffside), “Real Madrid are ready to ramp up their interest in Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho.”

The report has added that a return to Madrid could interest the youngster, where he had spent a part of his formative years.

However, there remains doubts whether he can break into the starting line-up and garner as many minutes as he is receiving currently at the Red Devils.

The fans have taken to him and Garnacho should ideally not let them down by leaving so soon. There is a positive feeling that United can agree an extension soon.
