Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be pleased with the crucial victory over Burnley but it’s likely he would’ve appreciated the bigger picture even more.
The legendary Norwegian named a strong starting XI vs Sean Dyche’s men and saw the benefits of that decision after they won 1-0.
Paul Pogba was the star of the show and netted a brilliant winner to send United to the top of the table.
However, Solskjaer’s side haven’t reached there on luck but it’s obvious to see they’ve gotten there on merit.
After all, after the heavy 6-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, it seemed the Red Devils were in for another torrid season but the turnaround since has been remarkable.
Since Tottenham (14 games) we've scored 29 goals, conceded just 13 and amassed 33 points in total with a 10-3-1 record.

That’s 33 points out of a possible 42 which is solid, especially considering how some fans will feel some of those missed points could’ve easily been won.
Nonetheless, the goals scored and goals conceded are also back at a healthy level and is no longer reflective of the poor early season form.
Solskjaer insisted back then that his players would need time to get going and he’s since been proven right.
