Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted his team missed Edinson Cavani during the disappointing loss to Manchester City.
The former striker could only watch on helplessly as his side fell to a 2-0 defeat thanks to some poor defending from set-pieces.
United were otherwise defensively sound and fans were more concerned at how toothless their side looked versus their fierce rivals.
Solskjaer selected Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Bruno Fernandes and yet none came away from the match in a good light.
For whatever reason, the Red Devils couldn’t pull anything off on the night and it meant crashing out of yet another semi-final.

Solskjaer seems to be hinting that Martial didn’t have enough presence and should’ve gotten into the box more.
It’s a criticism fans have often complained about when it comes to the talented Frenchman and why some feel he isn’t a true striker.
Martial normally likes to drop deeper and holds the ball up well but against City nothing stuck to him long enough for United to sustain any attacks.
Had Cavani been on the field it could’ve been a different day but unfortunately, he and fans have to deal with his match suspensions.
Manchester United have fielded some of the worlds greatest centre backs over the years, but how much do you know about them? Take our quiz below to find out!
