Luke Shaw put in a sensational performance this afternoon as Manchester United held Liverpool to a 0-0 draw at Anfield.
Shaw has been on top form this season and in particular since United bought another left back, Alex Telles, from Porto, with Shaw seemingly thriving on the competition.
The England man was brilliant both offensively and defensively today and gave Liverpool’s Mo Salah absolutely nothing throughout the game.
The statistics bear out how well Shaw played.
He won 100% of his tackles, registered an amazing 100% long pass accuracy and had 81% overall pass accuracy.
In addition, Shaw made eight ball recoveries, drew four fouls, made four clearances and created two chances.
He also, of course, kept a clean sheet.

The 25-year-old’s fantastic recent form has provided the perfect response to his critics, who include United legend Paul Scholes.
Scholes said in an interview with ESPN this week ‘I’m not sure what Luke Shaw brings to the team’. He surely now has his answer.
United’s whole defensive performance was superb from start to finish today and there were a number of heroes on the pitch, including another much criticised player, Victor Lindelof.
Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and David de Gea were also fantastic and Scott McTominay and Fred worked tirelessly in midfield to protect the back four.
Manchester United have fielded some of the worlds greatest centre backs over the years, but how much do you know about them? Take our quiz below to find out!
