A dour first half performance from Manchester United this evening gave way to a scintillating second which saw them overcome a 1-0 deficit to triumph 3-1 over David Moyes’ West Ham.
The half-time introduction of Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford transformed the match and the statistics regarding the former are simply sensational.
In just 45 minutes, the Portuguese playmaker created eight chances for the Red Devils, which is more than any other player for any team has created in a single game this season.

It would not be fair to brand United as a one-man team but the importance that Fernandes has to the side – and indeed to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s continued tenure of the manager’s post – is indisputable.
