Manchester United star Jesse Lingard has told the club exactly what he expects in regards to his future as the January transfer window draws close.
The versatile Englishman has struggled for minutes this season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer despite being fit and available.
In fact, Lingard has only made two appearances, both coming in the Carabao Cup and totaling only 99 minutes according to Transfermarkt.
It’s clear to see the former academy graduate is not in Solskjaer’s plans even when the United squad is being rotated.
Lingard has been linked with a few clubs around Europe of late, most notably Real Sociedad where former prodigy and teammate Adnan Januzaj currently plays.
Lingard has made it clear to #MUFC that he wants games time, otherwise he wants to leave to go and play football. There is plenty of interest in Jesse all across Europe. The ball is now in United’s court

It’s unlikely Lingard’s minutes will change before the winter market opens so fans have probably seen the last of him.
His decline has been rather shocking and the player himself has attributed it to some personal problems regarding his family.
Whatever the case, Solskjaer trusted Lingard at the start of his reign but eventually gave up on him and purchased Bruno Fernandes.
It’s safe to say it ended up being the right call and unfortunately the Warrington born midfielder doesn’t have a place in the squad even as a rotational option.
Edinson Cavani has made quite an impact since his deadline day arrival at Old Trafford, but how much do you know about our other South American players, past and present? Take our quiz below to find out!
