Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has suggested fans might have to get used to the front three attackers they saw on show vs Istanbul Basaksehir.
Anthony Martial, Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford all start the clash and it’s safe to say it was the right call as the team won 4-1.
However, it was the experienced Uruguayan who started as the main striker, flanked by the talented Frenchman on the left and the young Englishman on the right.
Cavani was impressive and played well, doing everything but scoring on the night while Rashford netted despite playing the less familiar right-wing role.
Martial wasn’t at his best but he certainly put in a much-improved performance from the left-wing, having been out of form all season leading the line.
Solskjær: "Donny [Van de Beek] can play in different positions and Edinson [Cavani] is a good old fashioned number nine and we haven't had that for a while and I was happy with how Anthony [Martial] played off the left." #mulive [bt]

It seems fans may see this kind of attacking front three more often and it’s certainly an option to consider, particularly in this moment of time.
If there was ever a period for Solskjaer to experiment with his front three then it’d be now given how Martial has forgotten his shooting boots.
The former AS Monaco man may be facing an unfair amount of criticism given he was the club’s top goalscorer last season but United can’t wait around forever until he finds form.
This summer’s transfer window has been one of the strangest in living memory. So cast your mind back to less stressful days and test your knowledge of past United arrivals and departures in our quiz below.
