Match: Arsenal v Leeds United
Venue: Emirates Stadium
Kick-Off (UK Time): 19:56 06/01/2020

Here’s how we rate Mikel Arteta and the Arsenal players:
Mikel Arteta – 7
It was another good night for him. Mikel Arteta was furious with his player in the first half and it seems like he let them know at the break. After the interval, the Gunners came out like a different side and Arteta deserves some credit for it.
Emiliano Martinez – 8
It was a fine night for Emiliano Martinez. The Argentinean made a string of excellent saves in the first half to keep the Gunners in the match. Mikel Arteta owes a great deal of credit to his goalkeeper this evening.
Sokratis Papastathopoulos – 7.5
It was a surprise to see the Greek defender starting at right-back but Sokratis Papastathopoulos did well on that flank. The former Dortmund man
David Luiz – 7
He did well. David Luiz was right in the thick of it at the back with a high number of defensive actions.
Rob Holding – 6.5
Besides a few wayward passes, Rob Holding can be pleased with his night. It was a good comeback from the Englishman.
Sead Kolasinac – 7
He was poor in the first half but a real asset in the second. Sead Kolasinac can be pleased with his second half and was a constant threat down that left flank.
Reiss Nelson – 7.5
It was a good performance from Reiss Nelson. The youngster grabbed just his second Arsenal goal to cap an impressive display. He was quiet in the first half but really came alive in the space in the second. Playing further in-field than he’s used to, he looked a better player.
Sub: Gabriel Martnelli (67′) – 7
It was a good cameo from Gabriel Martinelli. He held the ball well and looked a threat.
Matteo Guendouzi – 7
It was Matteo Guendouzi’s best performance in some time. The young Frenchman moved around well in the centre of the park and looked full of energy throughout.
Granit Xhaka – 6
Not his best night. Granit Xhaka made a couple of troubling errors in the first half and could have received a couple of yellow cards on another day.
Mesut Ozil – 6
Mesut Ozil wasn’t able to recreate his form in the last few matches but he did reasonably well. The former Germany international was nonexistent in the first half but had some moments of real quality in the second.
Sub: Joe Willock (77′) – 5
He did well enough.
Nicolas Pepe – 7
Nicolas Pepe had his moments. The Ivorian was a real threat at times and had a big role in the opening goal of the night. He was so swift and nimble in possession of the ball.
Sub: Bukayo Saka (90′) – N/A
Alexandre Lacazette – 7.5
It was Alexandre Lacazette’s best performance in a while. The Frenchman held the ball up well and linked up with his fellow attackers. He was so unfortunate not to grab a goal from that freekick. It was what his performance deserved
