Manchester United star Marcus Rashford couldn’t have hoped for a better performance vs Tottenham than the one he had despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer stating he could’ve had two more goals.
The talented Englishman was at his scintillating best, netting twice to almost singlehandedly win all three points for his side.
While he has played well in the past, even against the ‘big six’, this was a different kind of a performance, a talismanic one.
Every time United wanted to hurt Tottenham they attempted to do it through Rashford and it’s safe to say he did so with two fine finishes.
Dele Alli tried to steal the show with the equaliser but the sensational academy product was having none of it, determined to bend the London club to their knees as he had done to other ‘big six’ sides.
Marcus Rashford has been directly involved in 8 goals (7 & 1) against ‘big six’ sides this season alone.

This brilliant stat doesn’t even include Rashford’s overall goal involvements and so he’s clearly proven himself to be a big game player.
Romelu Lukaku, who was moved on to Inter Milan last summer, was criticised consistently as he seemed to disappear just when the Red Devils needed him most.
Even during the powerful Belgian’s first season when he netted over 20 goals across all competitors, there were still whispers over this issue.
That has never been the case with Rashford, who at the start of his rocketing to the top, famously scored against Arsenal to ensure he would continue getting minutes.
Since then he’s hardly looked back and Manchester United need him to continue to look forward if they’re going to have any kind of decent season.
