Manchester United are reportedly preparing for life after Paul Pogba by targeting Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez and Donny van de Beek of Ajax ahead of next summer.
The Frenchman is expected to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season after declaring in June that he wanted a “new challenge” elsewhere.
Man United received interest from Real Madrid but held firm on their £160m valuation of the player, causing Los Blancos to back down.
However, ahead of the upcoming summer window, United are planning for life after Pogba by working on deals for Niguez and Van de Beek.
#mufc have weighed up a number of central midfield options, with Saul Niguez and Donny van de Beek amongst them. The club will use the money from the sale of Pogba to strengthen the midfield #mulive [mail]

The former is an experienced, hardened member of Diego Simeone’s brigade of warriors at the Wanda Metropolitano, but it seems like an era is ending at Atletico, with the club sitting 7th in La Liga.
Van de Beek, on the other hand, was an unsung hero of Ajax’s route to the Champions League semi-final last term and has an excellent command of working the ball into the final third.
In a way, these players should be considered regardless of what Pogba will do given that United are still yet to replace Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini, who both left the club over the past year.
