Manchester United fans have called for former Tottenham Hotspurs manager Mauricio Pochettino to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer amidst the rollercoaster of a match vs Sheffield United.
The legendary Norwegian’s side were outplayed in the first-half and were 2-0 down at some point in the second before they scored thrice in around seven minutes to turn the tie around.
However, it didn’t end there with Sheffield United then grabbing an equaliser close to full-time, leaving little opportunity for a late winner.
The draw was a decent result given the circumstances but overall it was a disappointment given the context of the season and how United couldn’t afford to drop points.
While some took back their calls for Pochettino and once more backed Solskjaer, most still held onto their views even after the match was over.

Solskjaer has done a few good things but Tottenham just sacked a manager who led them to the CL final 6 months ago. Man Utd are not doing much better than Spurs.
Ole is a club legend and can come back with more experience. Pochettino is out of a job & it's a risk we should take.

I have my own reservations about Pochettino but he’s several levels above what we’re currently seeing & wouldn’t command a fee (like 12 months ago). Look at how #THFC have acted & Germany’s biggest club. It would be foolish of #MUFC board not to make the call this evening.

Bayern Munich are another top club genuinely looking for a manager having sacked their own so it’s more likely they’ll sign Pochettino than United.
The board, if not the fans, appear to be absolutely convinced by Solskjaer’s vision and it’ll seem weird to pull the plug now.
It’s likely it will take a ridiculously poor season for the former Molde man to get the sack and by then Pochettino may already be off the market.
