Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has strongly hinted that Mason Greenwood will start for Manchester United against Arsenal on Monday.
The 17-year-old scored his second senior goal in as many games during the 1-1 draw with Rochdale, once again jinking into the box and beating the keeper with a superb low finish.
And with both Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial sidelined through injury, there is an expectation that Greenwood will get another go against the Gunners.
Speaking about the matter at a press conference, Solskjaer noted that he had not decided yet but did seem to suggest that the teenager starting was likely.
Ole: “Greenwood? He’s proved in those games he’s ready for it, Premier League. I’ll have the weekend to think about it.” #mufc [MEN]

We know how this goes: injury crisis, no options up front, big home game against Arsenal coming up – what do we do?
Just like in 2016, you throw in a hungry Mancunian lad with an eye for goal and you tell him to simply unleash himself, to get right in their faces, and see what happens.
More seriously, though, Greenwood’s finishes against Astana and Rochdale show that he is, for all the other parts from his game which can still improve, the club’s best finisher at this moment in time.
For that reason alone, he merits a spot in the starting XI.
