Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Nemanja Matic, Ashley Young and Juan Mata will all feature for Manchester United against Leicester as the Norwegian contends with an early injury crisis at Old Trafford.
Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Diogo Dalot, Luke Shaw and Eric Bailly are all ruled out, while Jesse Lingard and Aaron Wan-Bissaka only have a chance of making the bench.
And Solskjaer, speaking at a press conference ahead of the game, has revealed that he will need to call on the old guard for the game against Leicester.
Solskjær: "You’ve got players who can come in with loads of experience, Juan [Mata], Nemanja [Matic] and Ash [Young] who didn’t start the first game and have got to step up and the average age might go up." #mulive

Those three names fail to inspire too much confidence. They certainly do not, you suspect, form part of Solskjaer’s longer-term vision of a young, hungry team capable of pressing high and hitting teams at pace.
Indeed, if that description fits any side, it is the one visiting Old Trafford tomorrow in the form of Leicester, whose midfield trio of Wilfried Ndidi, Youri Tielemans and James Maddison – a United target – feels more fluid and connected than what Solskjaer is likely to select on Saturday.
Perhaps it is worth remembering that Fred, seemingly forgotten by all, is fit and available and potentially the answer to losig Pogba’s creativity. It remains a mystery as to why he is yet to play any football so far this season.
