Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Marcus Rashford will be ‘out for a while’ with a groin injury sustained during Manchester United’s 0-2 defeat to West Ham United on Sunday.
The striker, who has started every game for club and country this term, looked painfully lethargic in the number nine role at the London Stadium.
It was in some way unsurprising to see Rashford, after 70 minutes, pull up and immediately sit on the floor, his face a picture of desolation.
Speaking after the game, Solskjaer was deeply unoptimistic about the injury, which is set to keep Rashford sidelined for some time.

Thankfully, Solskjaer should be able to call on Anthony Martial for the clash with Arsenal a week on Monday, while Mason Greenwood ought to recover from a bout of tonsillitis as well.
Even so, for all the money spent over the last few years, it is baffling how those two players are United’s only attacking options down the middle.
This squad, as we all noted in August, is not good enough even at full strength. When stripped to its bare bones, the result is something truly gruesome. Roll on Rochdale!
