Inter Milan have confirmed that Romelu Lukaku has finally completed a move to the San Siro from Manchester United.
The two clubs were in negotiations throughout the summer, with Lukaku said to have felt left out under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last season.
Lukaku enjoyed a sensational start to his United career, scoring 11 goals in his opening ten Premier League games, but only managed 17 from his next 56 appearances in the league.
After a summer of endless back and forths, alongside a rude intrusion from Juventus, Lukaku to Inter is finally done.

What might have been? At first, it looked like the perfect marriage, as if Lukaku has stepped into the boots of Zlatan Ibrahimovic in terms of both goals and character.
It did not last. For Solskjaer, Lukaku is not mobile enough across the front three to suit his tactical vision. And more broadly, the 25-year-old, for all his potency inside the box, is a second rate player when he touches the ball outside the box. That was always a big problem, and central reason why attacks often felt so slow and blunt-egdged last year. He never clicked – on the pitch and personally – with Paul Pogba.
More broadly, though, the love between United fans and Lukaku has slowly faded over the last two years, as love is prone to doing. He meeds a new lease of life and will, no doubt, score plenty of goals in Serie A.
And as 16:00 strikes at the time of writing, it looks as if United, once again, will enter the new campaign without adequate reinforcements. Unless there is a crazy final hour, that is all from the 2019 transfer window. It’s been mainly awful.
