Manchester United have reportedly been given a magic figure that if met, will see them sign Leicester City’s Harry Maguire.
The talented Englishman has been embroiled in one of the summer’s biggest transfer sagas with both clubs failing to see eye to eye, seemingly until now.
United’s desperate need for a centre-back has been well documented and it appears the Foxes are happy to take full advantage of that.
Maguire is believed to be keen on the transfer but Leicester City are under no real pressure to sell given the amount of money Premier League clubs now make.
The towering centre-back is clearly a top talent but there have been question marks over how much Brendan Rodgers’ side value him.
According to Sky Sports, Leicester are only open to selling Harry if the Red Devils meet the demands of their ‘magic figure’ of £80m.
It is a hefty fee but one that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side should be able to afford after a relatively quiet summer.
Some fans feel that money can be better invested elsewhere such as in Benfica’s Ruben Dias but the legendary Norwegian is adamant on getting his man.
Maguire is undoubtedly an improvement on Solskjaer’s current options so at least there’s no doubts about that.
