Manchester United may finally be able to breathe easy over Paul Pogba’s future as it appears Real Madrid have given up on signing him for the time being.
The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move to the Spanish capital after admitting to a desire for a new challenge.
The midfielder’s agent has also been hard at work publicly as he seemingly pushes for a move away from United.
However, the transfer always heavily relied on Real’s ability to stump up big amounts of cash despite having already spending a lot this summer.
The Red Devils were insistent on refusing to back down on their askingg price for Pogba and it’s understood they don’t feel under pressure to sell.
Real Madrid believe the transfer of Paul Pogba is difficult due to the fact that United do not want to sell. Madrid refuse to pay the €180m asking price. Their current priority is to sell players. #mufc [COPE]

Madrid’s stance may change should they offload enough of their stars to have the cash to sign Paul.
However, not only is it unlikely, it would probably be only enough to cover how much they’ve spent so far this transfer window, meaning they would still be unable to match the aforementioned asking price.
The bigger likelihood is Zinedine Zidane waiting to sign Pogba next season instead when Real should be able to afford the funds needed to secure his signature.
