Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is seemingly having the same issues as his predecessor Jose Mourinho as he bumps heads with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward over Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes.
The Portuguese has been heavily linked with a transfer to Old Trafford all summer long but a move has yet to transpire.
The midfielder quickly gained interest after scoring over 20 goals during the last season, making him a surefire way of adding goals to whatever team purchases him.
Fernandes would certainly add quality to United’s engine room but any deal heavily relies on Lisbon’s cooperation as they attempt to push his value as high as possible.
Solskjaer would obviously prefer the transfer to happen quickly but it seems this may be one that goes right down to the wire.
According to Manchester Evening News, Correio da Manha report that Ole and Woodward can’t see eye to eye over Bruno with the former trying to convince the latter that the player would be worth the £65m Sporting are asking for.
Given the price-tag it is understandable that the Red Devils are a little hesitant but the Norwegian must be supported in the same way his predecessors were as he must be given a fair crack at the whip.
