Manchester United star Paul Pogba could be set to remain at the club according to reports in what can only be considered a boost to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s transfer plans for the summer.
The Norwegian was forced to face the possibility of losing the Frenchman and having to invest even more funds on his midfield.
United were said to be keen on adding to their engine room already having moved on Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini but had the former Juventus man departed as well then an incredible signing would be needed to replace him.
Thankfully for Solskjaer it appears as though Pogba’s transfer saga may be coming to an end and the whole club can focus their attentions elsewhere.
Although it was just a pre-season friendly, fans got to see the difference in their midfield when their team played without the 26 year old for the first 45 minutes against Perth Glory and it was not pretty.
According to The Guardian, the Red Devils haven’t received any bids for Paul as they value him at £170m while Real value him between £100-120m.
Ole will likely be unable to fight off the Spanish giants next season when their funds are larger but until then it seems he’s won in his efforts to hold onto the World Cup winner.
