Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Manchester United have not received any bids for members of the current squad and insisted that there was no obligation to sell players this summer.
The Norwegian insisted after Man United’s 4-0 defeat to Everton in April that there were a number of players who would “not be part of” his rebuild at Old Trafford.
However, with less than a month until the transfer window shuts, only two first-team players have departed the club: Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia.
Speaking at his first press conference of the pre-season tour, Solskjaer noted there had not been any bids for members of his squad, adding that United was not a selling club.
Solskjær: "It's been a long summer, hasn't it? There's been loads of talks and speculation about many of our players, both ins and outs. But for me it's business as usual. When you're at #mufc, you expect these these things.“ #mulive [men]

Solskjær: “I've spoken to Paul, I've spoken to Rom, Rashy, Jesse, I've spoken to all of the players, more or less, over the summer, you keep in touch with them, as far as I'm aware up until now, we don't have any bids for our players.” #mulive [men]

Solskjær on transfers: “We are still in the market, we want more deals. We don’t have to sell, but we also don’t have to over-pay. Looking at our squad now, we have a good squad. This squad will have to be more robust once the season gets going.“ #mulive [men]

If anything, we should not be surprised. It is not in United’s nature to sell off players. Last year, the only notable player to leave was Daley Blind. In 2017, the only one was Adnan Januzaj. As much as he may want to, Solskjaer is somewhat powerless over who is sold and who isn’t, and certainly cannot affect the host of changes United supporters want over one transfer window.
Moreover, with the market so inflated and so many United players moving past their best, it is not much of a shock to see a dearth of offers for members of this squad.
