It’s clear that Arsenal are in the market for a pacy winger following the reported pursuit of Wilfried Zaha and Malcom.
Now, it seems as if another name can be added to the list with the Gunners keen on the Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez.
Reports in Spain suggest that Arsenal have made an opening offer for the Spanish international believed to be €32 million plus €3 million in add-ons.
The 28-year-old made 47 appearances for Madrid last season but could see his playing time reduced following the arrival of Eden Hazard.
Vazquez has played a part in three UEFA Champions League successes as well as the 2017 La Liga win.
It’s an interesting report but one which is hard to believe. Lucas Vazquez is a decent player who has attracted the interest of Bayern Munich of late. Perhaps Arsenal’s reported offer is little more than a ploy to drum-up prices and interest. Arsenal’s attention is presumably focussed on Wilfried Zaha.
