Manchester United have reportedly not agreed a fee with Leicester City for Harry Maguire despite rumours surfacing the deal is all but done.
Fans began to get excited as multiple sources reported the two clubs have concluded negotiations successfully but it appears a transfer is far from completion.
The Englishman is the latest defender heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford with supporters having mixed feelings over a potential deal.
Some feel Maguire isn’t good enough while others feel Leicester’s asking price is far too much for a player of his quality.
Whatever the case may be, it will be interesting to see whether Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s interest in the centre-back is real but so far, it seems he’s not.
According to Leicestershire Live, contrary to reports, no formal bid has been made by the Red Devils, although Harry is still keen on a move happening.
Although no formal bid has come about, it could be that Solskjaer’s side have made multiple enquires for the defender.
It would make sense that United are struggling to meet Leicester’s evaluation of Maguire as they also struggled with Crystal Palace over Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The move did eventually happen though and so the same may happen with the 26 year old.
