Manchester United have reportedly seduced Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes over a potential transfer but the deal isn’t as straightforward as it seems.
The Portuguese star has emerged as a serious target’s of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, particularly over the past week, and a move may happen if everything progresses smoothly.
Although United have been linked with Newcastle United’s Sean Longstaff, it’s believed that will have no bearing on whether or not the 24 year old is signed.
Fernandes would add definite quality to Solskjaer’s engine room and would walk right into the squad’s starting XI.
However, negotiations with Lisbon were always thought to be complicated and so it may take some time to see things through.
According to Sport Witness, Jornal de Noticias report that the Red Devils have successfully convinced Bruno to sign having offered him between €5m to €6m per season but Sporting’s €60m demand sees a transfer still needing some work.
It appears both clubs are failing to agree on an evaluation of the goalscoring midfielder and that’s not the first time Ole’s side have done so.
It’s believed in both, Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, transfers took some time to conclude mostly because of bids that were displeasing to the selling club.
