Luke Shaw has made a swift return to Manchester United training after picking up an injury scare during the club’s opening pre-season tour match against Perth Glory.
The left-back, voted as the club’s best player over the 2018-19 season, was forced off at the Optus Stadium with a strained hamstring – something of a recurring issue for the youngster.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was unable to give many details after the game aside from declaring Shaw would not be involved in training for a few days.
But just 48 hours on, Shaw has been seen back in training with the main group ahead of Wednesday’s meeting with Leeds United.

Man United comfortably won the game against Perth, with Marcus Rashford and James Garner scoring goals to crown a dominant performance during new signings Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James, along with youngsters Mason Greenwood and Ange Gomes, were very impressive.
As for Shaw, avoiding any longish spells on the sidelines is so important for the Englishman’s momentum, which was thankfully largely undisrupted last season. He has spent too much time on the injury table in his United career and Solskjaer needs his energy and focus every single week.
