Manchester United’s first signing of the summer Daniel James has revealed to fans where he likes to play most in terms of positions on the pitch.
The youngster joined from Swansea to become Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first signing as manager and instantly became a hit with some sections of supporters.
James’ rapid pace, direct attacking style and work-rate has seen him quickly become endeared to the fans as he made his debut vs Perth Glory.
United were in desperate need for a natural winger so it was smart of Solskjaer to invest there first with supporters speculating the 21 year old would seamlessly slot into the right-wing slot.
However, it appears Daniel may have other plans as he has hinted to a preference of playing on the opposite flank.
Daniel James: "For me, that left position is always my favourite position. I can play along the front three and i'm happy as long i'm playing – it's good being able to play all three." #mulive

James’ may get to feature regularly in his preferred position should Romelu Lukaku end up departing as reports seem to suggest.
Should the Belgian leave then Ole may opt to play Anthony Martial as a striker, leaving the left-wing wide open for the taking.
Mason Greenwood may also excel in the right-wing spot so Daniel could see himself get what he wants sooner rather than later.
Whatever the case, the Welshman himself has admitted to his own versatility and so it’s likely he’ll be fine playing wherever so long as he is playing.
