Chelsea star Willian has suffered a hamstring injury while on international duty with Brazil.
AS report that the experienced wide man suffered the injury in Brazil’s 2-0 semi-final win over Argentina and will miss the final against Peru as a result.
Brazil will be favourites for Copa America glory, with Tite’s side already defeating Peru 5-0 in the group stages, however, the Chelsea winger won’t be involved in the squad.
The report doesn’t state how serious the injury is, however, the news will be a worry to new Blues boss Frank Lampard.
The Chelsea legend was announced as Maurizio Sarri’s successor on Thursday and may well make the experienced Brazilian a key part of his squad next season.
Willian, who has been a target for both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid this summer, was scheduled to take time off follwoing the Copa America, however, the 30-year-old could well be forced to spend more time away from the first-team squad if the injury is serious.
