Zouma spent last season on loan to Everton in the Premier League and impressed at the back for Marco Silva’s side.
The 24-year-old played 32 games in the league for Everton, scoring twice, and caught the eye with his performances – with Lampard now wanting him to fight for his place at Chelsea next season.
David Luiz, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen are the current first-choice centre-backs at the club.
