Manchester United may reportedly have to keep Paul Pogba due to pressure from sponsors despite his desire to leave for a new challenge this summer.
The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid with Zinedine Zidane prioritising him this transfer window.
The midfielder has also been touted for a return to Juventus though it’s believed the finances involved are out of their reach at the moment.
United are adamant Pogba won’t be sold and they won’t even consider a bid unless it’s £150m at the very least- a figure most sides can’t afford.
Nonetheless, it seems the club will be forced even more so to not sell the academy product and so their hands may be tied.
According to the Mirror, Adidas are pressuring the Red Devils into keeping Paul or replacing him with another Galactico as they fear the club will lack iconic stars to help drive their brand.
Given signing ready made, high profile stars goes against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s transfer policy, it’s unlikely the club will do the latter.
It’s more likely Manchester United will hold onto Pogba instead, especially since Solskjaer has made him central to his plans to revolutionise the club.
