Manchester United’s unsettled star Romelu Lukaku will reportedly only be able to complete a move to Inter Milan if certain requirements are met.
The Belgian previously spoke of a desire to play in Italy at some point in his career and it’s believed he’s unhappy playing second fiddle to Marcus Rashford at Old Trafford.
United aren’t actively looking to sell the former Chelsea man but if the stars align then he could be playing for Inter next season.
Lukaku has put in decent numbers since arriving from Everton yet fans have struggled to warm up to him for various reasons.
If Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doesn’t value the striker as well then it makes sense that he should part ways in order to continue his career.
According to the Telegraph, Romelu’s move to Inter depends on whether Mauro Icardi can be offloaded, whether to the Red Devils as a part-exchange or elsewhere, as they don’t have the cash to finance an £80m transfer otherwise.
Solskjaer should know that selling the powerful forward means there will be a need to replace him as there’s no one else in the squad who can score as many goals as him.
Manchester United can’t rely on Rashford just yet and so bringing in Icardi as part of the deal could kill two birds with one stone.
