Jorginho could be ready to quit Chelsea and join Maurizio Sarri at Juventus this summer, report the Mirror.
Sarri has left Stamford Bridge after a successful but frustrating season, in which he struggled to build a rapport with Blues supporters.
His exit was inevitable and it appears as though he is keen to take Jorginho with him.
The Italy international struggled to impress at Chelsea in 2018/19, having arrived with a reputation for being one of Europe’s best playmakers.
The pace of the Premier League seemed to catch him by surprise and he often became a whipping boy if the Blues slipped up.
Jorginho’s agent, Joao Santos, says the midfielder is happy at Chelsea, but has failed to rule out a move to Turin:
Chelsea have a four-year contract with the lad. We’ll wait a few days to figure out whether there is any truth in this interest.
His past at Napoli won’t be an issue, because Jorginho is a professional.
Right now, Jorginho is happy at Chelsea. He found a great atmosphere and we can’t really say that he’d like to go elsewhere, but anything can happen on the transfer market. We’ll wait and see.
It is a transfer that is easy to see coming to fruition, especially given the relationship between Jorginho and Sarri.
The pair thrived together at Napoli, and Sarri insisted on taking him to Chelsea last summer.
Should Jorginho leave, it will give the Blues another issue, due to not being able to sign a replacement in the transfer window.
