Why Solskjaer and any manager is doomed to fail at Man United

Former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has for the first time discussed the club’s ongoing problems directly.

The Portuguese manager has indirectly spoken about the issues at Old Trafford but has never addressed them so specifically in public.

It was believed the former Chelsea man had a clause in his contract that didn’t allow him to speak so either there never was one or the time on it has run out.

Either way, Mourinho’s words are not interesting but also scary as he almost warns managers off from the position at United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer definitely has his hands full and unfortunately it doesn’t seem as though it’s a problem that can be resolved just in the upcoming transfer window.

According to the Independent, Jose said: “The problems are there, you can say that these are the players, the organisation, the ambition.

“I only say that I can not say yes when you ask if Paul was the only one responsible.

“I said nine or 10 months ago that after winning eight Championships, finishing second with United may have been my greatest achievement. Now people understand.

“I do not always do my analysis publicly on Manchester United. I do not want to talk about it and I have the feeling that I do not need to speak, that time gives explanations.

“About United I want to say only two things: One is that time has spoken. Two is that the problems are still there.”

Mourinho must certainly feel justified with how he went on with things but he definitely wasn’t the perfect manager.

Although he did a lot right, there were a few things that ultimately cost him his job.

Jose’s basically threw his toys out of his pram the moment the board refused his request and it was clear then that the club could never succeed in such an environment.

Though he could’ve meant the players’ lacked ambition, it’s more likely he was discussing the hierarchy at United which is certainly more concerning.
