Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly looking to plan his new era around Scott McTominay.
Old Trafford is in desperate need of a rebuild and the Norwegian has previously spoken of a need to be ruthless in his decisions regarding the squad.
Many fans feel the squad isn’t up to standard and are calling for a complete overhaul in the summer.
Solskjaer however has insisted he will maintain a more measured approach, seeking to make changes gradually instead.
McTominay appears set to be a part of the former Molde man’s future and hopefully he can repay the faith shown in him.
According to the Mirror, Ole is looking to build his starting XI around Scott after being impressed with him and sees him as a key part of the rebuilding job at Old Trafford.
Though supporters have grown to love the youngster, it’s unlikely any would’ve predicted he would be a guaranteed starter next season.
Most see McTominay as a useful rotational option until he develops further but they have been praising him for his recent form.
Paul Pogba hasn’t left just yet and one would’ve imagined he would be the player a manager would build around but Solskjaer is going for a different approach.
