Reports in Spain suggest that Real Madrid are keen on signing Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the summer (via Diario Gol).
It’s going to be a big summer transfer window for Arsenal and a lot of its success will depend on the match in Baku in two weeks’ time.
The Gunners take on Chelsea, a side which is also going through some degree of uncertainty.
It seems like the Blues aren’t the only side in London who are worried about a key player heading to Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
Eden Hazard’s move to the Santiago Bernabeu looks all-but-assured and now, reports in Spain suggest that the Belgian could be joined on the plane by a Gunners star.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is reportedly a major target for Zinedine Zidane as he attempts to rebuild the Madrid team.
The Gabon international is said to be valued at €85 million, a figure which Madrid are said to be willing to pay for the 29-year-old who only joined Arsenal in January 2018.
The reports come from Diario Gol and claim that Aubameyang would act as a replacement for the outgoing Gareth Bale.
It’s an interesting transfer story but one which probably shouldn’t worry Arsenal fans. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang only joined the club 18 months ago and it would be a big surprise to see him head for the exit door. However, he does turn 30 next month and €85 million is a lot of money which could be invested in the rest of the squad.
