Napoli star Elseid Hysaj is likely to depart Italy this summer, and reports suggest that he is waiting on Maurizio Sarri’s future to become clearer before he makes his next move.
The Albania international could be on his way out of the Stadio San Paolo, according to a report from Tuttosport, as cited by Calciomercato, as Carlo Ancelotti’s side eye Empoli defender Giovanni Di Lorenzo.
Hysaj is claimed to have his ‘bags in hand’ ahead of a summer exit, but his possible destinations are becoming increasingly limited.
Atletico Madrid were understood to have been interested in signing the right-back, as per the report, but they have since stalled on a possible swoop ahead of next season.
Hysaj has ‘only Sarri left’ as he seeks pastures new away from Serie A, but scrutiny is still surrounding the Italian’s future in the managerial role at Stamford Bridge.
Should the boss stick around for the 2019/20 season, though, it would appear as though his former defender could be keen to reunite with him in West London.
