The Manchester United hierarchy will reportedly not wait long before sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer despite just hiring him last Christmas.
In fact, the Norwegian was only just handed the reigns permanently just months ago after initially being brought in as a caretaker.
The club legend’s start was so fantastic he convinced the United board to hand him a longer contract but since that deal was sealed, his side have been in terrible form.
Some small sections of supporters have already begun to turn on Solskjaer, believing he was appointed too soon and Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino should’ve been hired instead.
The Argentine has finished in the top four once more having not spent a penny and has managed to drag his team to the Champions League final.
According to the Express, the Red Devils may consider sacking Ole if a top four spot doesn’t look likely by as early as this Christmas.
It’s a similar policy to the one they’ve consistently carried out since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement with David Moyes, Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho all suffering the same fate.
However, the first two managers were both offered until the end of their seasons while the Portuguese was given multiple years to make his mark.
