Manchester United’s dressing room is reportedly in uproar over decisions made in the interests of Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Ashley Young.
The last thing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs is split squad particularly since his focus has been on trying to sign quality players this summer.
The Norwegian is trying to navigate through his first real transfer window given the January one passed during his caretaker role.
Now fully in charge of United, many are expecting Solskjaer to make big changes to what fans feel is an average squad.
However, it appears the former Molde man has bigger issues on his hand than purely on-field ones and he’ll be keen to solve them swiftly.
According to the Mirror, the Times report that the Red Devils’ dressing room are furious that Jones, Young and Smalling were all handed new contracts despite not deserving them.
This makes sense given that players such as Ander Herrera, Juan Mata, David de Gea and Marcus Rashford have all essentially been ignored.
The former Atletico Bilbao man has already confirmed he’ll depart when his contract expires this summer while the former Chelsea man seems set to do the same.
De Gea has turned down Manchester United’s latest offer due to their inability to match his wage demands while Rashford is said to be concerned over the club’s future.
