Chelsea winger Lucas Piazon is close to securing a move to Brazilian side Vasco da Gama.
According to Brazilian outlet Diario Carioca, relayed in an article by Sport Witness, Piazon is ‘close’ to securing a move back home when his Chelsea contract expires.
Piazon, who joined the club from Sao Paulo in a €7.5m deal in 2012, has made just three first-team appearances at Stamford Bridge and has mainly been sent out on loan during his eight-year Chelsea career.
The winger has spent time out on loan in Spain, the Netherlands, Germany and England with Malaga, Vitesse, Frankfurt, Reading and Fulham respectively.
Piazon has also spent the last six months on loan at Italian side Chievo, however, they are not expected to make the signing permanent ahead of next season.
The 25-year-old was thought to be the next big thing at Stamford Bridge when he joined but the creative midfielder has failed to break into the first-team squad under numerous managers and looks set for a permanent Chelsea exit.
