Chelsea midfielder Victorien Angban has revealed he is hoping to make his loan move at French side Metz a permanent one in the summer, according to Goal.
Angban joined the Blues back in 2015 and has been on numerous loan stints across Europe while contracted to the club.
The winger has enjoyed time in Belgium with Waasland-Beveren and Sint-Truidense, along with a stint at Spanish outfit Granada.
However, the 22-year-old’s most recent loan spell has been his most successful.
Angban made his most first-team appearances with Ligue 2 side Metz, helping them to the French second division championship this season.
The Ivory Coast winger made 27 league appearances, scoring on one occasion, and admitted he is hoping to stay with the club next season.
Talking to Goal, Angban said:
I’m still waiting to see if Metz will trigger the clause to keep me. The board are still in talks with Chelsea to see if I can stay.
Personally, I feel good here. I hope everything goes well. If both parties reach an agreement, I’d like to stay. I want to discover Ligue 1 with Metz.
It is believed that Metz have an option to sign the player for £5.2m, however, the French outfit are hoping to lower that figure during negotiations with the Blues.
