Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will reportedly not allow Scott McTominay to depart the club this summer.
The youngster has proven himself to be an exciting prospect, particularly with his performances in the Champions League.
The academy product hasn’t necessarily cemented his spot in the starting XI just yet but his form has been so good it’s left fans hardly blinking an eye at the rumours of Ander Herrera‘s departure.
McTominay’s energetic, tenacious displays hint that he could easily replace the Spaniard should he truly leave to PSG for free.
Solskjaer clearly has faith in the Scotsman and so his future at the club is in safe hands.
According to the Sun, Ole has reassured Scott over his place in the squad and is not looking to send him out on loan this summer.
It was believed that several Premier League clubs were already enquiring over the 22 year old’s availability for a loan so it’s good that his future has been sorted out.
McTominay’s place in the squad is clearly as a decent rotational option until he develops further to truly nail down his spot in the starting XI.
Sending him out on loan now would be the wrong move for his career, especially given what’s he already experienced at United so far.
