Reports suggest that Arsenal could lose as many as ten first-team players during the summer (via Football.London).
It’s clear that it’s going to be a summer of change for Arsenal – whether they qualify for next season’s Champions League or not.
The Gunners have a lot of players who are out of contract in the summer with Aaron Ramsey already agreed on an exit.
Carl Jenkinson, Danny Welbeck, and Stephan Lichtsteiner are also in that category, as is the loanee Denis Suarez.
Reports in England suggest that players like Mohamed Elneny, Calum Chambers, Emi Martinez, David Ospina, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan could be added to that list.
Reports suggest that Shkodran Mustafi could also be sold if the Gunners can find a potential buyer – a task which looks more difficult with each passing match.
It’s going to be a big summer for Arsenal. There are so many potential outgoings and there’s a feeling that the incomings will depend on whether or not the Gunners can qualify for the Champions League. A lot of players need to be strengthened but after the last few weeks, the big aim for many Arsenal fans will be to improve the centre-back area.
