Manchester United’s troubles may have gone from bad to worse in the latest development regarding David de Gea‘s future.
The Spaniard has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid for several seasons now but Thibaut Courtois’ transfer was believed to have ended that hope.
However, De Gea’s apparent reluctance to sign a new deal with United has seen Europe’s top clubs line-up to tempt him away.
The goalkeeper’s current deal expires in the summer of 2020 and so those at Old Trafford may have to cash in on him soon to avoid losing him for free.
There have been rumours the former Atletico Madrid man will only consider remaining with his current club should they qualify for next season’s edition of the Champions League.
According to Sports Mole, Le10 Sport report that Juventus have joined PSG in the race for David’s signature, further complicating his future with the Red Devils.
Both clubs represent more realistic candidates to win the Champions League, which is understood to be the 28 year old’s biggest ambition.
Manchester United may not even be in the competition should they fail to win all three of their remaining fixtures whilst hoping those above them drop points.
De Gea has been loyal to the club for several seasons now but may feel it’s finally time to call quits and win the trophies a player of his quality deserves to win.
