Chelsea face competition from Italian club for star forward

Inter Milan are interested in signing long-term Chelsea target Leon Bailey, according to reports in Italy.

The Bayer Leverkusen winger has long been considered a target for the Blues, with the 21-year old also considered one of the brightest starlets in European football.

And now according to Sportsitalia, as cited by Calciomercato, Serie A outfit Inter are keen on striking a deal for the former Jamaican youth international.

Chelsea’s interest had thought to have wained in January after the Blues completed the signing of Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic for £58million, however reports in late January claimed the club were in talks with Bailey, despite the signing of Pulisic.

Bailey, who was previously thought to be eligible to play for England, has a contract with Leverkusen until 2023, and will expect to cost interested clubs a fee in the region of €65million.
